Becoming Bridge Builders
Youth from First Lutheran Church explored the causes of racism and discrimination after racist cd’s were left on cars at Sandpoint High School. They utilized Design For Change’s Feel, Imagine, Do, Share, Design Thinking process to gain empathy and create solutions to address this problem within Sandpoint.
One way they did this, was by creating an Instagram account @ 7BLOVE_Project to spread love and their message.
Also, the youth invited The Rev. Alex Schmidt to First Lutheran Church to give his workshop on bias and racism for adults and teenagers.

The 7b Love Project seeks to inspire families to embrace diversity and learn together what it means to love our neighbor as Christ loves us. Below, are pictures giving a glimpse of the discussions and activities lived out from this ministry in August of 2019.
